NATIONAL BOOK FESTIVAL: LIBRARY OF CONGRESS
contributions
DESIGN + PUBLIC SPEAKING
I had the honor of creating the poster art for the Library of Congress National Book Festival. Every year the Library of Congress hosts the National Book Festival in celebration of books and reading held in Washington D.C. It brings together authors, illustrators, and thousands of book lovers for a day of author talks, book signings, and various family-friendly activities.
Every year the LOC taps an artist to create the artwork for the festival, the poster art created serves as the branding for the entire event. This includes: merchandise, stage, and environmental design.
Alongside creating the art, I participated in poster signing as well a brief panel explaining the inspiration behind the art. To listen to the conversation you can check out the video here or read more about the symbolism of the artwork here.
